         ABOUT US

In 2013, my daughter and son joined me in helping our elderly neighbor with his yard work. Our neighbor was in his late 80's and was still trying to do it himself. We noticed that it was hard for him and rather dangerous.

In 2014, our family had to start taking care of my mother-in-law's yard. She had been battling cancer since 2000. She was still doing her yard work. However, because of her cancer treatments it was no longer safe for her to do it.

In 2020, another elderly neighbor needed our help because of her cancer diagnosis.

Finally, in 2021, I was diagnosed with cancer. During my treatments it became very difficult for me to do yard work. At the end of 2021 I went through a stem cell transplant. After the transplant I was told by my oncologist that I couldn't work in the yard for 1 year or risk infections.

My neighbors, my mother-in-law, and I were lucky to have my family help. Many are not so lucky. Whether it is too dangerous or professional landscapers are an added expense that they can't afford, we wanted to be here to help.

We started LWC (Living with Cancer) Landscape Maintenance in March 2024 to help those in need. Originally, we wanted to help those dealing with cancer. However, in a short amount of time we have noticed that many more are in need of our services. We now offer our services to anyone who needs it and doesn't have the means to hire a professional landscape service.

We look forward to helping where we are needed.
